This in-person in-service provides beginner level Spanish communication skills related specifically to PT and OT. Staff are introduced to basic communication skills and strategies they can apply in the therapy setting! This presentation also provides information on further steps to progress Spanish communication specific to the therapy setting!

With this In-Service Your Staff Will Learn
Spanish communication skills for beginners! These skills include speaking practice, introduction to Spanish therapy phrases, and strategies to begin to guide communication with a Spanish speaking patient, to help facilitate communication despite one's limited Spanish speaking ability.
Objectives include:
Correct Spanish pronunciation
Recognition of Spanish vocabulary related to the therapy setting
Speaking participation and practice
Next steps to continue to improve Spanish communication with patients
The in-service is designed for introductory Spanish learners who are PTs, OTs, PTAs, and COTAs! In-service duration is designed for 45 minutes (but can be shortened to 30 minutes if needed).
